The welcome bonus is the most advertised number in the industry and one of the least informative. The headline tells you how much bonus credit you are given. It tells you nothing about what that credit costs to convert into money.
Compare two offers properly

Offer B looks twice as generous. It requires nearly three and a half times the turnover, and it caps what you can keep. Offer A is the better deal by a wide margin, and it is the one that will be advertised second.
The structures
- Straight match. A percentage of your first deposit, credited as bonus funds.
- Package. Split across your first two, three or four deposits: the advertised total is only reachable by depositing four times, which is the point.
- Match plus spins. The free spins usually carry their own separate wagering.
- Cash + bonus split. Rare and honest: part of the offer is withdrawable immediately.
What to check before clicking
- 01Turnover, not headline. Multiply it out.
- 02Minimum qualifying deposit — often higher than the site's minimum deposit.
- 03Excluded payment methods. E-wallet deposits are routinely excluded from the welcome offer.
- 04Expiry, and whether the clock starts at credit or at first use.
