What a register entry means

The register is the list of operators we cover, and every change to it is published here rather than made quietly. There are three kinds of entry.

An addition. An operator joins the register once a human has checked its licence against the regulator's own public register and recorded the source. Being listed is not an endorsement and it is not a score — it means we have opened a file, and the file starts mostly empty. An operator whose audit is incomplete carries a provisional score marked as a ceiling, or no number at all, until the outstanding checks are done.

A re-audit. Files go stale. A licence lapses, a payout time drifts, terms are rewritten, a dispute is resolved. A re-audit re-runs the checks and republishes the result whether it moves the score up or down, and the date it happened appears on the review itself so you can see how current the judgement is.

A removal or a delisting. When an operator stops being offerable — a licence withdrawn, a jurisdiction lost, a blacklisting — the record does not get deleted. It gets updated, and it stays readable. A history that can be erased is not a history.

What you will not find here is a change nobody can account for. Every score is computed by the engine from published inputs, no figure on this site can be set by hand, and where we get something wrong we correct it and say that we corrected it.
