What Money Train 2 actually is
The game that established Relax Gaming's respin engine and, for two years, held the highest ceiling most players had seen. Forty paylines on a five-by-four grid, and a base game whose only real job is landing six bonus symbols.
Inside the feature each symbol carries a value or an action — collectors, payers, multipliers, necromancers that revive dead symbols — and each new symbol resets the respin counter. A collector arriving late multiplies everything already banked, which is where 50,000× comes from. Very high volatility. Money Train 3 is the same engine with more symbol types and a higher ceiling; this one is tighter, and the difference is worth a look before assuming the newer game is the better one.

What this spec means for a session
The 50,000× ceiling is the largest return a single stake is designed to be able to produce: on a £1 spin that is £50,000 (what a ceiling costs). At this size the ceiling is essentially a lottery outcome inside a slot, and the return you actually experience comes almost entirely from the ordinary spins beneath it.
The grid is 5 × 4 across 40 paylines — more lines is not better odds (paylines).
The mechanics this title actually ships, and what each one does to the spread of results:
- Respins re-spin part of the grid while the rest holds: one stake, a short sequence, a wider spread.
- Persistent symbols keep collected symbols on the grid for the whole feature, so the round builds rather than resets.
- Buy feature pays for the bonus round outright, usually 50–100× the stake — more variance, not an edge.
