No-wagering bonus

A bonus, usually free spins, whose winnings are paid as withdrawable cash with no playthrough — smaller in headline, honest in cost.

A no-wagering bonus does what a bonus appears to promise: anything you win is yours, in cash, immediately. It is uncommon, it is always the smaller number on the page, and it is almost always the better offer.

Do the arithmetic

Offer AOffer B
Headline20 no-wagering spins200 spins, 40x wagering
Spin value$0.20$0.10
Stake handed to you$4.00$20.00
Win $40 from the spinsWithdraw $40Must stake $1,600 first
Expected cost of that turnover$0About $64 on a 96% game

Offer B gives you five times the stake and a wagering bill whose expected cost exceeds the win it is applied to. Offer A gives you less and gives it to you clean. Offer B will be in the larger typeface.

Still read the terms

"No wagering" is a claim about playthrough. It is not a claim about everything else:

  1. 01Maximum cashout. A no-wagering spin with a $20 win cap has simply moved the restriction. See maximum cashout.
  2. 02Expiry. Spins that expire in 24 hours, drip-fed 20 a day for ten days, are ten separate small offers.
  3. 03Nominated game. You do not choose it.
  4. 04Withdrawal minimum. Winning $12 against a $20 minimum withdrawal leaves the money stranded, and the only permitted use of a stranded balance is to gamble it.

Our bonus register surfaces no-wagering offers as their own filter, because they are the only ones whose headline value is close to their real value.
