Your withdrawal request is not a withdrawal. It is a request that sits in a queue marked "pending" while the operator decides what to do with it.
What is supposed to happen in there
Legitimately: a check that your identity verification is complete, an anti-money-laundering screen, and a batch release to the payment processor. None of that requires days. Automated verification systems complete it in minutes.
What often happens instead
The pending period is where the money is kept reversible. In many accounts, a pending withdrawal can be cancelled with one click and returned to your gambling balance — see reverse withdrawal. The longer the money sits there, the more chances there are to click.
That is the design. A 24-hour pending period and a 120-hour pending period do not differ in the compliance work performed. They differ in how many evenings you spend looking at a button marked "cancel withdrawal".
What is normal
| Pending period | Reading |
|---|---|
| Instant to 12 hours | Automated, confident, well-run |
| 24 to 48 hours | Standard manual review step |
| 72 hours | A queue, or a batch cycle |
| 5 days or more | Friction that is doing something other than compliance |
Weekends are the tell. An operator whose pending period reliably expands across a Friday night is running a five-day week for payouts and a seven-day week for deposits.
What to do
- Complete verification before your first deposit, so the pending period has nothing to hide behind.
- Request the withdrawal and then close the tab. Do not sit with it.
- If a pending period exceeds the operator's own stated time, that stated time is now evidence. Screenshot it, then open a case.
